Disciples
The Shortlist
Candral - The first of Allius Quaylar’s students he is the first and most obvious candidate for the position of disciple. His knowledge of stone has a good background in Kanir’s Stonemasonry. He has about him the stoic, solid dependability and the rock-like determination to get the job done that is ideally suited for the position. His grasp of the primal elements has flowered since Allius’ teachings and Candral has mastered several of the more complicated stone elemental techniques.
Farris - A young Keolandish sorcerer from the Academy. Many regard him as one of the most promising magicians in the West, for at the tender age of seventeen he is already well advanced, leaving many more studious sorcerers behind. He has little elemental background although displays the unique ‘natural’ quality that most of the truly great wizards possess. He is considered to be mischievous and arrogant, spurning most of his studies in the pursuit of girls or trouble. Many at the Academy still talk about his firework display that was a tribute to Garrison’s twentieth year in power.
Callivarion - An Ekbirian mage who left his school in Ekbir for a chance to serve and learn from Allius. A consumate elemental mage he has the hawklike demeanour of the men of his kind, although there is a hidden power behind his eyes. Callivarion is no stranger to Primal magic, although is tight-lipped about his exposure to it. It is fairly plain to see, however, that this man is a man of power and respect in his land.
Helena - This voluptuous and increadibly beautiful woman has been the talk of the Academy since she arrived for the interview. She hails from Ahlissa and has many talents that go beyond her impressive appearance. Her career began as an interpreter in Rauxes and she is fluent in eleven languages. She was given the very best diplomatic training by the emperor and served him for several years. As his personal assistant she was trained in the use of weapons and boasts mastery of long and shortsword, unarmed combat, archery and knife throwing. Her ability to learn and accept information is something quite special and worthy of note, despite her lack of sorcerous knowledge.
